Jumilla town nestles in beautiful and wild countryside. Dotted on the outskirts of town are bodegas where you can sample many varieties of wine. Many owners offer tapas to visitors and the opportunity to purchase some of the finest wines found in Spain. Tuesday is market day and a good time to stroll up to the 15th Century castle perched on the hill overlooking the town.
This neighbouring city has a population of some 228,300 inhabitants and is famous for the manufacture of wines and leather. The economy of Elche is based, in large part, on the footwear industry, with over 1,000 shoe factories, being one of the most important footwear industries in Spain and the rest of Europe. Elche Palm Grove is an orchard of over 200,000 palm trees and was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000.

A visit to Fortuna will only enhance your Spanish experience. A slice of heaven with its Thermal Springs and only 20 mins away, it is a traditional Spanish city in the northwest mountains of Murcia. Nestled around the hot springs Fortuna offers a true slice of Spanish life. On the outskirts of town there are several archaeological sites some dating back to the Bronze age and Roman times.
